Coastal Craze
A solo art exhibition by Avery DeSantis
With support from UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund
Welcome!
I am a fourth year Biological Sciences Major and Art Minor at UC Santa Barbara. Whether I am making observations through a microscope or camera lens, I strive to capture a unique view of the world around me.
In this exhibition I have sought to provide an interdisciplinary view of marine conservation. I believe investigating this topic through art will help further distill the impact of climate change and pollution on ocean life. Additionally, I aim to create a lasting impression on the greater UCSB community to preserve the local coastline. My main inspirations for Coastal Craze include my ongoing biology education, passion for conservation, and involvement in marine science research within the Hofmann Lab.
Special thanks to my faculty advisor Dr. Helen Taschian, support from UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund, the Hofmann Lab, and friends that have helped me along the way!
Thank you for stopping by my solo art exhibition!
